Azure Acres has been providing adult chemical dependency treatment services for over 40 years. Secluded in the midst of a redwood forest in Sonoma County, just north of San Francisco, this small and intimate program is housed in a historic lodge on thirty acres of property graced by rolling green lawns, wooded hiking trails, a swimming pool and picnic area. We can help you discover a new way to live free from the bonds of drugs, alcohol, and gambling addiction.

Treatment Philosophy
Azure Acres Treatment Center provides a comfortable, spiritually healing setting to help those suffering from drug addiction, discover a new life - drug and alcohol free. Our treatment approach also recognizes and addresses the suffering that the addicted person's family members and loved ones inevitably experience.

Family Program
Our weekend family program includes educational groups and conjoint family sessions. It is through this process that our clients and families begin to understand that their loved one have a disease called chemical dependency. Anger turns to laughter. Fear and distrust turn into hope and love. For the first time in a long time life begins to feel good ... and warm ... and wonderful again.

12 Step Involvement
Residents are introduced to the 12-Step recovery process through orientation talks and open meetings.

Additional Information
When people come to Azure Acres, they are met with a warmth and compassion that says "you are welcome here". This is the beginning of recovery. Days are filled with process groups, educational lectures and personal counseling. The residential program, with its grand stone fireplace and cathedral ceilings lends a feeling of comfort, safety and serenity, so conducive to the process of recovery.

Lifelong Aftercare: When you complete the program you will be given a discharge plan that includes a referrals groups and meetings that support your continued recovery. Those clients who require more structure and contact to grow in their recovery and sustain their sobriety can participate in an online program with a live, real-time interactive group and your counselor.
